Museum nights festival

October 14 -November 14, 2020

The 16th year of the Museum Nights Festival 2020 will take place from October 10 to November 14, 2020! The festival will open in Prague on Saturday, October 10, 2020, and will end on November 14, 2020 in Brno (the European Museum Night 2020 has been postponed to this date). Other places in the Czech Republic can join the team by re-registering with their Museum Nights on the campaign website. The phenomenon of museum nights in large European capitals is already one of the permanent presentations of cultural heritage in a particularly attractive way. Museums and galleries use night visitors in addition to a tour of their permanent exhibitions and exhibitions, as well as a number of accompanying and cultural programs and become places of extraordinary and unexpected experiences and meetings. During five weeks, you can gradually visit a number of museums and monuments for free or for symbolic entrances, which, in addition to unusual night tours, will offer permanent exhibitions and an exhibition of jointly accompanying cultural programs. Museum nights are characterized by a unique atmosphere and create unexpected visitor experiences. Don't miss them! Museums and galleries will remain open until late at night and will offer their night visitors something that is not common in their daily program. Starting with free entry and ending with special events. Concerts, theater and dance performances, performances, craft demonstrations, tastings of period dishes, competitions and quizzes for children and adults, workshops, lectures, video projections, discussions with exhibiting authors, fashion shows, guided tours in period costumes, interesting facts from the museum's "backstage" , presentations of normally unexhibited exhibits ... and many other unusual encounters with the past and present take place at the turn of October and November at unusual night time museums and galleries across the Czech Republic.
